Night Hike 2023!
A fantastic Night Hike and weekend at Gradbach in October.
Starting at 9:30 pm at the Roaches and arriving at Gradbach Scout Camp at 2 am via a midnight trip through Lud’s church. The Scouts have been brilliant, completing the challenge of the night hike in record time and navigating us in the dark over the hills. Well done Scouts!
On arrival at Gradbach, it was time for a quick snack then bed.
The next morning followed with a late breakfast after the night’s hike.
As always, the Scouts then got stuck into all the activities over the weekend, including our infamous river traverse.
The day was finished with a hearty meal of chicken pie, mash potato, broccoli and sweetcorn all topped off with homemade sticky toffee pudding and ice cream.
Final day’s morning completed the weekend with Atl atl spear making and testing!
Big thanks to the leaders for again giving up their time this weekend, as well as the hours of planning and organisation.
We now look forward to Night Hike 2024!
