2022/23, A review of the Scouting year…

Rock Climbing at the Roaches, June 2023
Well, that concludes another Scouting year! And what another packed year it has been…
We’ve done so much – 6 camps, 5 hillwalking courses, as well as rock climbing, kayaking, caving, gliding and our infamous Night Hike in the Peaks – just a few of the things the troop has done this year!
We concluded the previous year with our annual summer camp, this time in North Wales for a week. The Scouts enjoyed all sorts of activities from coasteering and sea kayaking, to climbing and hiking, it was amazing. We’re now looking forward to our summer camp in the Lake District this year.
The Scouts have been very busy taking part in a huge range of Scouting based activities during our troop nights including, parliament week, social media takeover, backwoods cooking, micro nav and pioneering.

The Scouts have been brilliant; risen to challenges, developed skills and achieved so much – including 150 badges in total!
We’re pleased to be able to offer so many and such a range of different activities. Fantastic opportunities that Scouts get so much out of and always pushing the limits of Scouting. #PioneeredAtThe4th
A huge thank you goes to the troop’s leadership team; Sam, Jake, Darren, Luke, Adrian, Jack and Ali who volunteer so much of their time to run our amazing programme.
