Scouting is Back!
We’re Back!
We were incredibly pleased to welcome our sections back to face-to-face Scouting this week, after another 3 months of online meetings.
After the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown announcement, the National Youth Agency (NYA) and the Scout Association confirmed face-to-face Scouting activities can resume from Monday 29th March.
We wanted to get back to doing face-to-face activities as soon as we could and have our first proper meetings of the year before we break again for the Easter holidays.
To make things even better, the Scout Association have since changed their restrictions for the return of face-to-face meetings, removing the 15 Scout limit. Therefore, we were delighted to be able to invite all our members to these meetings, for the first time since last March!
As before, we will continue with our robust measures to ensure Scouts are safe during meetings, as per our approved risk assessments. Including practising social distancing, wearing face coverings inside and regularly sanitising hands.
Our Beavers enjoyed a trip around Victoria Park, while the Scouts had Russian themed Easter activities and were treated to using the new ‘rocket stoves’!
We look forward to getting back into the swing of weekly meetings after our Easter break.
