Scout’s Spring Camp
The Troop had an amazing time at Kinver at the weekend. All the Scouts were brilliant, representing the Troop really well, while taking part in all matter of Scouting based activities, rising to challenges and learning crucial skills for Life.
Highlights from the Scouts included the communication hike around Kinver edge, setting up and sleeping in the hammock village.
Each day started, as always, with a hearty breakfast, including, sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs and beans. Yum.
On Saturday, the main event was the communication hike. Two patrols, both alike in navigation, on Kinver Edge, where we had our hike. Each patrol with the other’s route card, communicating grid references to the other. Until both patrols came together at Nanny’s Rock to have a spot of lunch in a cave!
Massive thanks to the volunteer leaders for giving up another weekend and hours of planning to make the camp a great success.
