Summer Camp 2022
Summer camp concluded for another year, and what a fantastic week it’s been.
From Coasteering and sea kayaking to climbing and hiking, just to name the big activities, it’s been amazing.
- 1st Day – The wind and rain have eased, though it was a very windy night! Day trip to Caernarfon Castle. Followed by beef stew went down very well.
- 2nd Day – Hiking in Snowdonia. Beautiful Welsh weather – rain and wind!
- 3rd Day – Sea Kayaking and Coasteering. Amazing experiences!
- 4th Day – Rock climbing, near Llanberis
- 5th Day Fun packed day… Coasteering and Sea Kayaking again in the morning. Followed by an afternoon at the campsite and roast chicken for tea.
- 6th and Final day of summer camp. Dismantle site, the Scout’s newly invented game of ‘Scout Ball’, finally ended with flag down and a ceremonial guard of honour for our oldest Scouts who are leaving us.
A thoroughly enjoyable week for all involved that I’m sure will have many memories for years to come.
Well done to all the Scouts who were fantastic. Not only in their impeccable behaviour, but putting into action all their Scouting skills into making the week run smoothly and make everything a lot easier for the leaders.
Goodbye, good luck and farewell to our oldest Scouts who have concluded their last engagement as Scouts, your enthusiasm, dedication, skills and proactive approach to Scouting and the Group has been incredible, making them amongst the best Scouts the Group has ever produced. #PioneeredAtThe4th
Huge thank you to Darren and the leadership team for not only giving up your week to join the ventures, but for all the months of planning, meetings and hard work that has gone into making this camp an amazing success.
